Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp have tried to pitch a business to the stars of Dragons' Den.

The Sweeney Todd actors attempted to sell an innovative pushchair idea to the likes of Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne during a chance meeting at Pinewood Studios.

The legendary lot is currently being used to film both Dragons' Den and the A-list actors' latest project with Tim Burton, Dark Shadows.

"Johnny was delighted to meet the Dragons, and Tim and Helena were telling them they are avid fans and watch every week," a source told The Mirror.

"Helena was very excited and started to pitch a 'Prambrella', basically a pram that features its own umbrella when it rains.

"Johnny was laughing and joining in, but it wasn't a great idea, so all the Dragons very politely told her, 'I'm out'."

Bonham Carter and Depp are also due to appear in a big-screen adaptation of The Lone Ranger, in which Social Network star Armie Hammer will play the titular role.

The ninth series of Dragons' Den, which features new investor Hilary Devey, will premiere Sunday on BBC Two.
