Bin Laden: Shoot To Kill, a documentary on the dramatic US raid in Pakistan to kill the world's number one terrorist, enthralled 2.32m (10.1%) on Channel 4 from 9pm and 311k (2%) on +1.
Celebrity Big Brother continued to perform for Channel 5, attracting 2.11m (11.2%) in the 10pm hour, and Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side entertained 186k (2%) on 5* from 11pm.
National Treasures Live grabbed 3.06m (14.7%) on BBC One from 7.30pm and Sarah Beeny's Village SOS took 2.82m (12.7%) in the 8pm hour. The turn of Silent Witness star Emelia Fox on Who Do You Think You Are? pulled in a solid 5.39m (22.2%) in the 9pm hour, and Live At The Apollo amused 1.54m (12.7%) from 10.45pm.
A repeat of Dragons' Den did the business with 1.05m (5.1%) on BBC Two in the 7pm hour, before Natural World revved up 2.21m (9.9%) from 8pm. Horizon captivated 1.29m (5.3%) from 9pm and Have I Got Old News For You had 1.12m (5.4%) from 10pm.
Channel 4's Location, Location, Location interested 2.52m (11.4%) in the 8pm hour and 198k (0.8%) on +1. Shameless grabbed 480k (4%) from 10pm.
Garden ER grew 286k (2.4%) on Channel 5 from 7.30pm, before Emergency Bikers fetched 1.29 (5.9%) in the 8pm slot. Justin Lee Collins had 587k (2.4%) from 9pm.
Overall, ITV1 won primetime with 22.4% (+1: 0.6%) against BBC One's 17.8%. Channel 4 came in third with 8.5% (+1: 0.9%), followed by BBC Two with 6.6% and Channel 5 with 4.8%.
Elsewhere, The Glee Project entertained 275k (1.2%) on Sky1 in the 8pm hour, and Mount Pleasant amused 520k (2.1%) from 9pm. Benidorm pulled in 581k (2.4%) on ITV2 from 9pm.
