The Channel 4 gameshow is currently celebrating its sixth birthday with two weeks of live shows.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the presenter said: "[Going live] is going to enhance the show. We normally run for up to two hours, but we have to get a deal in 60 minutes.
"There's enormous pressure for the player, as well as the banker. I'm very confident the show will feel different without feeling adversely different. We've got a lot to offer."
Edmonds added: "We do change people's lives... It's honest and open. We are totally inclusive - we've had blind players, deaf players, people in wheelchairs. So I think that the viewer looks at [Deal] and thinks, 'I could be doing that'.
"I'm hugely proud of the show and protective of it, but I don't force people to watch it...I only found out we were going live seven weeks ago and it was a real 'yippee' moment."
