NCIS followed on Channel 5 by drawing 823k (4.4%), while Highland Emergency and Fairground Attractions took 658k (2.8%) from 7.30pm and 855k (3.5%) from 8pm respectively.
ITV1's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! once again performed strongly, beating its competition with 8.33m (32.9%). A further 395k (1.9%) caught the jungle reality show on +1, and 807k (4.38%) tuned in for I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here Now! over on ITV2.
Piers Morgan's Life Stories with John Prescott was seen by 874k (6.8%) from 10.35pm.
DIY SOS: The Big Build fixed up 3.2m (13.2%) for BBC One from 8pm, with The Manor Reborn generating 3.87m (15.1%) afterwards. Question Time was watched by 2.57m (20.5%).
Earlier on BBC Two, Heir Hunters attracted 1.44m (6.3%) from 7pm, while MasterChef: The Professionals cooked up 2.61m (10.7%) in the 8pm hour. Frank Skinner's Opinionated amused 1.15m (5.7%) from 10pm.
Channel 4 saw Beeny's Restoration Nightmare earn 1.39m (5.7%) from 8pm (+1: 155k/0.6%) and Living with the Amish get 1.8m (7%) from 9pm (+1: 445k/2.4%). The Joy of Teen Sex followed with 653k (3.6%) in the 10pm hour (+1: 124k/1.3%).
Overall, ITV1 convincingly won primetime with 27.8% (+1: 1.1%). BBC One and BBC Two had 17.9% and 6.8% respectively, with Channel 4 ranking fourth with 5% (+1: 0.9%). Channel 5 finished with 3.8%.
Meanwhile, The Big Bang Theory entertained 825k (3.4%) on E4 from 8pm.
