The actress - who co-wrote the series with James Corden and starred as Nessa Jenkins - explained that she has discussed the possibility of a stage production of the sitcom with Corden.
"We'd love to do Gavin & Stacey: The Musical," she told the Evening Standard. "I know it is something James wants to do too.
"I saw Billy Elliot on stage the other day and I thought it would be something good to do. It's something I would definitely be up for."
The actress added that a new episode of Gavin & Stacey will "definitely" happen, and that she still hopes a Christmas special will be made after plans to make this year's schedules didn't happen.
She explained: "We will definitely be doing another episode of Gavin & Stacey.
"We wanted to do a Christmas special but it keeps getting moved back. I would have liked to have done it this year but I have a new ten-part series and James has just started a play. He's also just become a dad so we've been pretty busy. But James and I are very close and will keep in touch about a new show."
Joanna Page recently said that she hopes a one-off special of the series will be made in the near future.
James Corden is currently starring in the West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors.
