The animated series, first announced in June 2010, previously aired on Cartoon Network in the UK.
An update of the classic '80s cartoon, ThunderCats follows Lion-O (Will Friedle) on his quest to recover the mystic Book of Omens and defeat the villainous Mumm-Ra (Robin Atkin Downes).
Larry Kenney - who played Lion-O in the '80s animation - now appears as the character's father Claudus, while Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Cheetara.
"ThunderCats is undoubtedly one of the most iconic animated series of all time," said Channel 5's head of acquisitions Paul Fagan. "We are thrilled to be broadcasting the new-look tales as part of our Christmas programming."
The Cleveland Show's Kevin Michael Richardson and Highlander actor Clancy Brown also voice roles on the show.
Produced by Warner Bros animation, the new 13-part ThunderCats series will air from December 18 to 30 at 10am on Channel 5.
