'Apprentice' stars close to splitting?
Published Sunday, Aug 6 2006, 10:32 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly
Apprentice stars Michelle Dewberry and Syed Ahmed are struggling to save their romance.
The couple are expecting a child together, but Syed's family are strict Muslims and are said to be stunned by the news.
Syed told a friend last week, "The family haven't taken it very well at all. I'm having a tough time of it."
Ahmed - who was one of Michelle's rivals on the BBC Two series - is now expected to take time out abroad to consider their future.
A source told the Sunday Mirror, "Syed's family are shellshocked by Michelle's pregnancy. It's taking a lot of getting used to and that's causing problems between everyone - Syed, his family and Michelle."
