The Hello Ladies comic, who wrote the Warwick Davis sitcom with Office partner Ricky Gervais, spoke of his "exhausted" state of mind in an interview with Zoo.
When asked of plans for more episodes, he confessed: "At the moment, I can't imagine ever working again because I've been so exhausted this year.
"We've done the second series of An Idiot Abroad, the tour, 75 dates… frankly, I'm exhausted. In a way, it's a good job I didn't find a wife.
"I wouldn't have found time to charm and entertain her. I'd have to get another comedian in to pleasure her."
Gervais last month revealed on his Twitter page that a new run of Life's Too Short is "planned for spring 2013", after he was linked to a new show on Channel 4 as YouTube alter ego Derek Noakes.
Life's Too Short, which aired on BBC Two, recently suffered a ratings defeat to The Only Way Is Essex's Christmas special on ITV2.
