ITV has greenlit a new four-part adaptation of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple dramas.
The first, Towards Zero, sees Geraldine McEwan reprise the title role alongside an all-star cast including Tom Baker (Doctor Who), Julie Graham (William & Mary), Paul Nicholls (EastEnders), Julian Sands (24), Alan Davies (Jonathan Creek) and Dame Eileen Atkins.
In the story, Marple's old school friend Lady Tressilian (Atkins) reluctantly hosts a dinner party at her Devon estate, assisted by companions Mary (Graham) and Treves (Baker). Marple is intrigued when Treves tells a story about a child murderer who was never convicted - but then, the next day, Treves is found dead.
The three further cases are yet to be announced.
