The cooking show served 4.75m (19.7%) in the 9pm hour, beating ITV1's The Biggest Loser in the same timeslot which got 2.16m (9%) and 190k (1%) on timeshift.
Earlier in the night, BBC One's Holby City treated 5.43m (22.9%).
Elsewhere on ITV1, River Monster took 2.61m (11.2%) from 7.30pm (+1: 162k/0.7%). The Exit List followed with 2.02m (8.3%), and Benidorm mustered up 960k (7.4%) from 10.35pm.
Stargazing Live continued to perform decently for BBC Two. Last night's 8pm instalment averaged 3.26m (13.8%), while Stargazing Live: Back to Earth picked up 2.53m (10.4%).
The latest Hairy Bikers' Best of British had 1.97m (8.6%), and 9.30pm's Horizon got 1.62m (7.2%).
Channel 4's Shameless earned 1.63m (8.8%) in the 10pm hour (+1: 270k/3%). Earlier, The Fat Fighters averaged 986k (4.2%), and 15 Kids and Counting had 2.89m (12%) from 9pm (+1: 340k/1.8%).
Lastly, Celebrity Big Brother drew 2.14m (11.8%) from 10pm. 9pm's Body of Proof continued strongly with 1.44m (6%), and Cowboy Builders took 1.49m (6.3%) from 8pm.
BBC One came out as the clear winner in primetime last night, earning 23.8%. ITV1 ended up with 11.7% (+1: 0.6%), beating BBC Two's 9.6%, Channel 4's 7.1% (+1: 0.8%) and Channel 5's 5.9%.
On the multichannels, the series premiere of American drama Suits won 566k (2.5%) from 9pm on Dave, while 8pm's Don't Tell the Bride got 703k (3%) on BBC Three.
