Veteran actress Hayley Mills has joined the cast of ITV drama Wild At Heart.
Mills - one of the most famous child actors of the '60s - will play the role of Caroline, mother to Amanda Holden's character Sarah Trevanion in the series.
While husband Danny (Stephen Tompkinson) is attending to his vetting duties, Sarah is trying to build a business out of nothing while looking after their kids Evan (Luke Ward-Wilkinson) and Olivia (Rafaella Hutchinson) when Caroline arrives to rock the boat.
"My character Caroline is quite outspoken and has a tendency to rub people up the wrong way," said Mills of the role. "She has a difficult relationship with her daughter and does upset things considerably when she turns up at Leopard's Den."
Also back is the Trevanion's feisty daughter Rosie (Lucy-Jo Hudson), who returns to South Africa after dropping out of university in England.
The second series of Wild At Heart is currently filming in South Africa for transmission early next year.
