Sir David Jason has revealed that he is interested in remaking US sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond for British viewers.

The Only Fools and Horses actor told BBC News that the CBS show, which aired between 1996 and 2005, was one of his favourite sitcoms of recent times.
Raymond, which starred US comic Ray Romano, airs in the UK on Channel 4 and Comedy Central.
Jason said: "I've always thought it needs a wider audience. I could never understand why they didn't put it out at primetime because it's so good. And so I said, 'Why don't we do an English version?'
"So watch this space. It could happen."
The veteran actor is currently directing a comedy pilot for the BBC about an undertakers firm. Pearly Gates will star The Fast Show's Mark Williams and a decision will be made on whether it gets a full series later this month.
