MTV secures record sponsorship for EMAs

MTV has landed £8m worth of sponsorship for this year's Europe Music Awards, it was announced today.
Carlsberg, Ericsson, Rimmel and Intel have each put forward £1.8m to sponsor the event, which takes place in Frankfurt on November 8th.
The awards will air live on MTV stations throughout Europe, with terrestrial channels such as Channel 4 airing highlights the following day.
Rimmel will mark their sponsorship by organising several high-profile parties in cities around Europe.
Intel is running competitions to win tickets for the event, whilst Carlsberg will run a series of on-can promotions. Ericsson will run a text-messaging initiative in conjunction with online competitions.
