The two shows will return with new episodes next year.
Stella stars Gavin & Stacey's Ruth Jones as a single mother in Wales.
"I'm over the moon that Sky want more Stella," Jones said. "I'm looking forward to getting back to Pontyberry, even though the place doesn't exist."
Lucy Lumsden, Sky's head of comedy commented: "All hail Ruth Jones. Stella was our first and biggest original comedy commission and we are thrilled that our customers love it as much as we do. Bring on the second series."
Meanwhile, The Cafe stars Ralf Little and focuses on an eaterie in Weston-super-Mare.
Stella's second series will comprise ten episodes, while The Cafe will be back with eight instalments.
Sky1 has already renewed its comedies Spy and Trollied, while new shows in the works include Parents, starring Sally Phillips and Tom Conti, and Chris O'Dowd's semi-autobiographical series Moone Boy.
