'Big Fat Gypsy Weddings' wins 9pm timeslot for Channel 4

The return of Channel 4's Big Fat Gypsy Weddings beat its 9pm competition, according to overnight data.
Even though it was down from last year's finale, the series premiere still drew 4.81m (19.9%) coming out ahead of BBC One's Prisoners' Wives (4.19m/17.3%).

It was also the most-watched multichannel show of the night, attracting a further 858k (4.7%) on timeshift.
Shameless followed Gypsy Weddings with 1.83m (10.2%) and 305k (3.1%) on +1. Gok's Teens: The Naked Truth was watched by 1.28m (5.6%) in the 8pm hour (+1: 146k/0.6%).
ITV1 continued to struggle on Tuesdays with The Exit List and The Biggest Loser averaging 1.83m (8%) and 2.13m (8.5%) respectively - the latter getting 201k on +1.
Elsewhere, Alex Polizzi: The Fixer was watched by 2.34m (10.3%) on BBC Two and How to Grow a Planet appealed to 1.53m (6.3%).
An average of 1.36m tuned in for US drama Body of Proof in the 9pm hour, with The True Story taking 1.15m before from 8pm.
Overall, BBC One dominated primetime with 22.6% - ITV1 was far behind with 12.3% (+1: 0.5%). Channel 4 grabbed third place with 9.9% (+1: 1.5%) ahead of BBC Two's 7.1% and Channel 5's 4.6%.
On MTV, Geordie Shore was caught by 195k (1.1%) from 10pm.
