Former 'TOTP' host gets 'Doctor Who' role

Reggie Yates, a former presenter of Top of the Pops, has won a part in the next series of Doctor Who.
The 23-year-old is to play the brother of the Doctor's new assistant Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman). He will be joined in the medical student's family by Trevor Laird as father Clive, Adjoa Andoh playing mother Francine and Gugu Mbatha-Raw cast as her sister Tish.
Shameless star Dean Lennox Kelly is also guest starring in the series – as playwright William Shakespeare. The team have just finished filming an episode set in 1599.
The new series is set to hit screens next year.
