David Jason to return as 'Diamond Geezer'

David Jason is to take on the role of master criminal Des once again as Diamond Geezer returns with a series.
The ITV1 comedy drama, which returns for three 90-minute episodes next year, will see Des undertaking huge missions including breaking into Buckingham Palace on behalf of MI6 and stealing 12 million pounds of Russian gold.
"We are delighted that Diamond Geezer is returning with a series," explained David Reynolds, ITV Controller of Comedy, Drama and Drama Features. "The original episode proved a hit and we felt that there was a lot of scope for David Jason's character, Des to develop."
Jason is also set to return to screens this autumn in a new A Touch of Frost special entitled Endangered Species.
"The filming of the new episode involved working with wildlife including crocodiles and snakes," Reynolds added. "It certainly kept the cast and crew on their toes!"
