American game-shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune will begin airing in high-definition today, the first syndicated TV shows to do so.
The sets used for both shows have been adapted for 16:9 presentation.
"Our goal has always been to keep the shows as fresh as possible and by offering our
shows in high-definition, we are able to broadcast in the best quality for our viewers," executive producer of both Jeopardy and Wheel. "Nearly $4 million has been spent on these changes and the investment further supports our commitment to these shows."
In addition to the set changes, a new control room was built and post-production facilities were upgraded.
