The team are fantastic and I'm truly excited to start a role I feel so passionate about."
This Morning editor Adam Vandermark said: "Pam has always enjoyed being on This Morning as a guest and the moment this idea was suggested after her last visit on the show, she expressed her keenness straight away.
"Everyone adores Pam and viewers will be thrilled to see her back on their screens again - who knows, she may even dig out some of Pat's old leopard print numbers for the role too!"
St Clement's final EastEnders episode aired on New Year's Day. The 69-year-old actress has worked on the BBC One series for over 25 years.
