'Supermarket Sweep' lined up for return

Former ITV daytime quiz Supermarket Sweep is in line for a comeback, according to a report in The Sun today.
The student favourite, which propelled host Dale Winton to stardom, was axed five years ago after ratings tumbled. A spokesman for TalkbackThames admitted last night: "We are in talks with ITV about a number of projects, one of which is Supermarket Sweep."
ITV is keen to revamp its daytime schedule after a series of ratings mishaps such as The Sharon Osbourne Show.
A friend of Winton told The Sun: "Dale would love to do it."
