The shows will face off against Downton Abbey and Educating Essex for the 'Terrestrial Programme of the Year' gong, which Sherlock took home at 2011's ceremony.
Mad Men, Celebrity Juice, Him & Her, The Killing and Russell Howard's Good News are all up for 'Digital Programme of the Year'.
Previous winners of the 'Terrestrial' prize include Outnumbered and The Apprentice, while The Inbetweeners, The Wire and Gavin and Stacey have won the 'Digital Programme' award.
The Channel of the Year Awards are decided by delegates at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, which takes place in August. Voting opens in June.
