The footage originally aired on BBC Scotland as newsreader Sally Magnusson handed over to Charles for the lunchtime report. A clip of the pair later featured during BBC One's lunchtime bulletin.
BBC One newsreader Sophie Raworth tweeted about the royal couple's special appearance, writing: "Something I never thought I'd say - watch Prince Charles and Camilla have a go at being weather presenters - shortly on BBC News at One."
BBC One's real weather presenter joked afterwards: "Proof that even the Royals can't give us dry weather at the moment."
