'Doctor Who' dominates NTA nominations
Doctor Who has scooped nominations at the National Television Awards in the same three categories it won last year.

The hit British family show is once again up for Most Popular Drama, competing against axed drama Bad Girls and American imports Desperate Housewives and Lost. Billie Piper will be defending her 'Most Popular Actress' award against Sue Cleaver (Coronation Street), Lacey Turner (Eastenders), Ursula Holden-Gill (Emmerdale) and Evangeline Lilly (Lost).

But the 'Most Popular Actor' nominee has regenerated into current Tardis dweller David Tennant from last year's winner Christopher Eccleston.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 31, with the winners decided by public vote.
