The pair had been filming a wildlife documentary together before Irwin's death six weeks ago.
Bindi has now resumed work on the project and Irwin's manager John Stainton told People magazine that scenes could still be used featuring the two together.
The child has also spoken publicly for the first time since the service for her father. She said in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that people should not fear animals as they were "put on this earth to help the environment".
"Some people think that I would be afraid of them, but I'm never, ever afraid of an animal," she continued. "I just get excited and some that are dangerous I just think, 'Oooh! What's going to happen?' and things like that."
The series Bindi the Jungle Girl is being produced for the American Discovery Channel.
