The BBC has confirmed that last night's (June 28) planned edition of Mock the Week will air this Sunday.

BBC Two's topical panel game, hosted by Dara O'Briain, was pulled from the schedules due to extended Wimbledon tennis coverage.

Thursday evening's match between Rafael Nadal and Lukas Rosol, which saw a shock defeat for Spaniard Nadal, spilled over into Mock the Week's 10pm-10.30pm slot.

The episode features regulars Chris Addison, Andy Parsons and Hugh Dennis alongside guests Zoe Lyons, Marcus Brigstocke and Gary Delaney.

With weeknight bulletin Newsnight fixed in the 10.30pm slot, the BBC was unable to fit the show into its schedule for the evening.

Mock the Week's delayed instalment will be screened on BBC Two this Sunday at 10.10pm.

Despite losing high-profile panellists Russell Howard and Frankie Boyle, the satirical round-up remains a solid ratings hit.
