Tarrant wife dodges injury in TV crash

Ingrid Tarrant narrowly escaped injury in a reality television driving stunt that went wrong.
Chris's estranged wife was caught up in a crash while filming for Sky One series The Race.
Her "monster truck" flipped over and landed on its roof as she drove it over a ramp.
Doctors have given Ingrid, who split from the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host after an affair was exposed, the all clear. She remains shaken from the shock of the crash, however.
She was rescued from the truck by emergency teams then treated by paramedics at the track in Silverstone where she had been racing Gary Newman in a Bigfoot 4x4.
"Ingrid was in the lead and doing around 40mph," said a spokesman for the show. "She hit the ramp at an angle and the truck flipped four metres in mid-air, rolled and came down on its roof.
"The paramedics and ambulance crew rushed to the truck and managed to get her out. She was conscious when they reached her - and lucid. The first thing she said was, 'I'm sorry'.
"Obviously she is seriously shaken up and we will have to wait and see whether she feels able to carry on with the show."
