Pilkington was seen wearing a blue string vest and later a beige shirt and tie for the part, while Davis sported a colourful neon shirt.
They filmed scenes for a new movie Bhojpuri movie titled Chingari, reports The Sun.
Producer Shrey Shrivastav said of Davis's performance in the film: "He received a standing ovation from the crew."
However, the filmmaker did not mention how well Pilkington fared.
The Short Way Round will comprise two 60-minute specials, where Pilkington and Davis attempt to recreate the journey of famous explorer Marco Polo.
The mini-series will air in December on Sky1.
