New Maria cheats on boyfriend?

Sound of Music star Connie Fisher has been cheating on her boyfriend with a backstage sound man, according to a report.

The former call centre worker, who secured the musical's lead role on BBC talent series How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, was spotted kissing and cuddling Leigh Davies following a romantic dinner date recently.

One onlooker told the News of the World: "They behaved like a couple really smitten. Their hands were all over each other and those clinches were so passionate. They only had eyes and lips for each other."

The pair have also been taking time out to enjoy hand-in-hand strolls around London's West End together.

A theatre source explained: "Connie and Leigh's friendship has been the talk of the show for the past few weeks. They appear extraordinarily close. It's got tongues wagging."

When asked about the affair last night, Fisher insisted: "Are you serious? He's my sound guy. I haven't time for an affair. I go out for drinks with lots of members of cast and crew. Going out for drinks is not having an affair."
