The show aims to discover the UK's best-looking and most well-behaved dogs in a series of Crufts-style challenges.

Stacey Solomon will appear on an X Factor-style judging panel as one of several celebrities who will decide which dogs will go through each stage.

"This is a light-hearted show so David is the perfect choice to give the narration a tongue-in-cheek feel. He loves his dogs so will give off some of that passion to the audience," a source told The Sun.

Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh & Pudsey were recently confirmed to be making some form of an appearance on the show.

Top Dog Model is expected to air on ITV2 later this year.
