Speaking at the Edinburgh Television Festival, Jones told Metro that her schedule does not allow her enough time to work on reviving the show.
"It would be a shame for me and James [Corden] not to write again together," she said. "But there are no plans to do any more at the moment.
"He's really busy, I'm really busy."
Corden, who plays Smithy alongside Jones's character Nessa in the hit show, has expressed a desire to work with Jones again, but also said that there are no definite plans for a reunion.
"Getting loads of messages about a Gavin and Stacey special," he wrote on his Twitter account last month. "I'm sorry to say there are no plans right now I'm afraid, but maybe one day!"
Jones is currently filming the second series of her Sky1 comedy Stella, which has already been commissioned for a third season.
Meanwhile, Corden has begun a career in theatre since Gavin and Stacey ended in 2010, and recently won a Tony award for his performance in 'One Man, Two Guvnors' on Broadway.
