Basement Jaxx are confirmed to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2001 from Frankfurt on November 8. Atomic Kitten, Bomfunk MC's, Boris Becker, Andrea Corr, Pink and Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar have also confirmed to appear at the show.
A release issued by MTV today detailed the build-up to the event. "With three weeks to go until the MTV Europe Music Awards 2001, votes have already surpassed the two million-barrier mark and the prestigious awards ceremony is on track for a record breaking year."
Other confirmed performers at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2001, to be hosted by Ali G, are Basement Jaxx, Blink 182, Craig David, Depeche Mode, Destiny's Child, Dido, Kylie, Rammstein and REM. Further confirmed celebrity presenters include Emma Bunton, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Boris Becker, Nelly Furtado, Eddy Grant, Sandra from Guano Apes, Ronan Keating, Kelis, Alicia Keys, Heidi Klum, Samantha Mumba, Xavier Naidoo, Nina Persson, Gavin Rossdale, Roger Sanchez, Shaggy, Sugababes and Brendan from Wheatus.
The MTV Europe Music Awards 2001 will air live on MTV on 8th November 2001 at 21.00 - 23.00.
