'Top Gear' / BBC
The 36-year-old presenter will appear on the BBC One show on December 22.
Hammond almost died when the 300-mph jet-powered dragster he was driving veered off the track at Elvington Airfield in September.
He suffered short-term memory loss, became disorientated and endured severe pain, but he has since made a full recovery.
Filming of the new series of Top Gear was temporarily suspended but has since resumed.
