Matt Lucas and David Walliams have said they have a packed schedule already planned for the next 12 months.
The pair were asked about the suggestion that Lucas would play Friar Tuck in the next series of Robin Hood.
He confirmed that he would not be able to, despite feeling complimented by the offer, and explained that he and his co-star were already occupied for the year ahead.
"Unfortunately I'm not available," he explained. "But I was very flattered to be offered the role.
"Me and David are working together through next year. We know what we're doing for the next 12 months. Though I do think it's a great series."
BBC One channel controller Peter Fincham had said he "would be very happy" if the Little Britain star filled the role.
