'Britain's Got Talent' Pudsey makes TV acting debut in 'Mr Stink'

Britain's Got Talent winner Pudsey has filmed his TV acting debut.

The dancing dog - part of the talent show winning team with owner Ashleigh Butler - will star in the upcoming BBC adaptation of David Walliams's novel Mr Stink.

Pudsey will play female dog Duchess in the children's drama.

Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville will star in the programme's title role.

Mr Stink follows a girl named Chloe who becomes friends with a local tramp called Mr Stink. She later invites him to hide at the end of her family's back garden.

Sheridan Smith and Johnny Vegas have also signed up for roles as the mother and father in the drama.

Creator and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams will reunite with Pudsey as the Prime Minister in the drama.

The Little Britain comic's children's novel has sold 250,000 copies and was shortlisted for Blue Peter's 'Book of the Decade' title.

Ashleigh & Pudsey recently signed up to star in a festive production of Dick Whittington at Woking's New Victoria Theatre.
