Danson admits 'Soapstar' fears
Jane Danson has admitted she is terrified of forgetting the lyrics to her songs on this year's Soapstar Superstar.

The new series kicks off tonight on ITV1, and the Coronation Street actress will sing 'I Don't Need A Man' by the Pussycat Dolls.

“Forgetting the words is my biggest nightmare," she told The Sun. "It’s quite an up-tempo number and it’s not the song I’d have chosen to sing but I don’t mind it. As it’s a live show, I just hope that my nerves will hold out. I’ve got more petrified the closer we get to the first show. It’s quite daunting when you see the set and hear the music you’ll be singing.”

Neighbours star Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl Kennedy) is currently the bookies' favourite to win this new series, with Danson in fourth place.

Zoe Ball is the new host of the show, which starts at 8.30pm tonight.
