'Soapstar' finalist hoped to save job
Soapstar Superstar's Hayley Tamaddon hoped to hold on to her job by winning the show.

The Emmerdale actress was told before Christmas that her character Delilah Dingle would be written out of the soap, but she believed that producers would change their minds if she was crowned the winner.

Hayley told DS: "They were actually planning to axe me before Christmas until they realised how popular Delilah actually was."
