The actor - who played 'Barry from EastEnders' on the BBC Two comedy show - has admitted that it was an honour to work alongside Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
"Not only is it the most enjoyable thing I've ever done, but it really has given me a second wind regarding focus and a platform. It was a great thing to be a part of," Shaun told The Sun.
"Working with these two [Gervais and Merchant] is the only thing that would make me reprise the character. There was no way I was going to turn down the chance to work with them."
Gervais originally warned that a third series was unlikely, but later admitted that there was still "mileage" left in the show.
