Granada International has licensed the ITV Productions’ format Boot Camp to the Georgian channel Rustavi 2.
The broadcaster will create its own version of the series that sees sixteen people take on the challenge of living in a tough military-style boot camp.
Giorgi Khaburzania, director of international projects at Rustavi 2, said: “Reality programming is at its peak now in Georgia and we are delighted to introduce this new format to our viewers."
Over the last four years Rustavi 2 has produced local versions of other UK formats such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, The Weakest Link, Brainiest, The Bar and The Apprentice.
"We believe Boot Camp will be of particular interest as Georgia has just entered into an intensive dialogue process with NATO which means that we are on our way to becoming a fully fledged NATO country, and there is now huge interest in national army issues among ordinary people," Khaburzania added.
The show will air on Rustavi 2 in late 2007.
