The following week's Adventure Venture is written by Tom Palmer (Doctor Who) and Tom Stourton (Comedy Lab) and will see the pair play the "terribly posh, terribly bad entrepreneurs" Crispin (Palmer) and Fergus (Stourton).
Personal Trainer stars Simon Day and is co-written by the Fast Show star and Not Going Out's Andrew Collins, while the eighth episode Eleanor Popplewell is written by Katy Brand and also stars the comedienne as the title character.
Jessica Hynes has written and will star in Politically Incorrect, playing frustrated local councillor Patricia David in a short film based on her recent cameo on Sky1's Chris O'Dowd comedy Moone Boy.
The final episode - Scoundrels from Rufus Jones (Hunderby) and Dan Skinner, is the story of an ex-city banker (Jones) who has had a mighty fall from grace after being accused of embezzling the bank.
Common People will air exclusively to Sky customers as part of Sky Atlantic HD's Comedy Mondays.
