ITV gives Austen season a boost

ITV is to launch a nationwide campaign to showcase the upcoming Jane Austen Season on ITV1.
Three brand new adaptations of Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion airm will be supported by a national TV, cinema, outdoor and press campaign.
ITV Creative Catherine Farrow is responsible for creating the 60 sec, 30 sec and 20 sec promotions, which go on air from February 25.
On February 26, a London focused outdoor campaign launches, with press ads appearing in selected national press.
David Pemsel, ITV’s group marketing director, said: “The Jane Austen Season is all about ITV taking classic stories and presenting them in a fresh and contemporary light. This campaign whole-heartedly embraces and reflects that concept.”
The outdoor and press ad campaign to support the season has been created by M&C Saatchi and bought by Mindshare.
