The N-Dubz member will star in a 12-part series, which he plans to call The Madness of King Dappy. The show will follow his solo career and family life.
"It's going to be bigger and badder than TOWIE, and much better. You're gonna see me with all my friends going crazy and get a look at the mischief I get up to," Dappy told The Mirror.
"It's reality TV, with cameras following me around trying to maintain being a superstar. There'll be stuff on my home life, too. Me with the kids and me getting in trouble.
"I have been misbehaving slightly but that's me being controversial and spontaneous. You can't be playing that safe artist thing or there will be nothing for me to write a book about in ten years' time.
"I want to keep it wild and like a rock star. But there's definitely going to have to be some bleeping and censoring on the show."
Dappy added that while he is happy to star in his own reality show, he would never consider doing I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! or Celebrity Big Brother because that means "your career is fading away".
Dappy releases his debut solo album Bad Intentions today (October 22).
