UKTV Style has recommissioned fashion magazine show, The Clothes Show for a second series.
Ordered by UKTV Style’s channel head, Catherine Catton, and UKTV’s outgoing head of commissioning, Jo Clinton Davis, the first ten episodes of the hour-long show begin in May, with the second batch of ten airing in the autumn as part of a new look schedule.
After a 20-year absence from UK television, the show returned last October and was watched by over 1.5 million adults onUKTV Style, bringing an additional 382,000 viewers to the channel.
Catton said: "The success of the first series proved The Clothes Show is still the ultimate television fashion brand, delivering the latest catwalk and high street trends in an accessible and inspiring way. Fashion content is a mainstay of the channel and I’m thrilled this re-commission will form the backbone of our new prime time ‘fashion’ slot this year."
Produced again by Shine with Giant Film & TV, presenters Louise Redknapp, Caryn Franklin and Brendan Courtney also make a return.
Redknapp said: "It’s good to be back for the second series. I love my fashion and am proud to be involved with such a well known and respected programme. Working alongside Brendan and Caryn is great and we have a lot of fun putting the shows together."
