Eurovision bosses criticise BBC
Published Wednesday, Mar 21 2007, 15:25 GMT | By David Cribb

Many viewers have come forward feeling conned after learning winning act Scooch had two backing vocalists out of sight behind the stage. Now the Eurovision panel has admitted the BBC should have made the show "transparent" in order to give the voting public the best understanding of the situation.
The band themselves however have rejected the accusations that they cheated, and insist the situation is being manipulated by bitter rivals. Scooch singer David Ducasse reveals the location of the backing vocalists was simply a health and safety issue "because they (the vocalists) might end up being crushed by one of the trolleys we used."
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Helsinki on May 12, where organisers will allow all 6 singers to take the stage for the British entry.
