The show, which will air towards the end of 2013, has the working title Inside No. 9. Filming on the first three episodes is currently taking place in London.

Quantum Of Solace star Gemma Arterton, Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd), Anna Chancellor (The Hour), Tamsin Greig (Episodes), Marc Wootton (High Spirits With Shirley Ghostman), Adam Deacon, comic Tim Key and Julian Rhind-Tutt have all been confirmed to appear in the show.
The series is billed as an inside look as "six very different No. 9's" on the street where you live.
"Where the ordinary and mundane rub shoulders with the extraordinary and macabre," reads the show description.
"From a grand country house where a game of 'sardines' leads to some chilling revelations in a wardrobe; to a very oddly haunted house; to the flat of an apparently happy primary school teacher who becomes the victim of a good deed. These unpredictable tales feature high comedy and claustrophobic horror by turns."
Shearsmith and Pemberton said: "We wanted to explore the sense of claustrophobia and intensity that is brought about by limiting the action to one location in each story.
"We're thrilled to have our own anthology series of devilish delights, and can't wait to throw the doors of our various Number 9's open to the nation."
Jon Plowman, executive producer for the BBC, added: "It feels good to be back in the dark places and sunny uplands of Horror Com, a genre that Reece and Steve have really made their own and I am really glad that our casts are testament to the quality of the scripts."
