Living has commissioned Jamie Oliver’s production company Fresh One Productions, to make To The Manor Bowen.
The eight-part show will follow designer and presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, his wife Jackie and their two daughters as they move away from the city and settle into village life in a 17th century Gloucestershire manor house.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen said: "Like so many 40-somethings with children, it’s such a dream to move to the country. My only worry is that it could well be the country’s worst nightmare to have us next door. But I’m looking forward to trying out my new design direction, Rocky Horror Arts and Crafts. It’s definitely the way forward."
Airing this autumn, the series will be executive produced by Living's Mark Sammon and the series producer will be Livia Russell.
Russell said: "We are really looking forward to making an observational series with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and his family that sees them coming to terms with the ups and downs of a new life in a Gloucestershire village, and also follows Laurence tackling the challenges of restoring his own period house for the first time on television."
Meanwhile, head of factual programmes at Fresh One, Harry Lansdown, is moving to BBC Three to become an executive producer in the formats and factual features commissioning team under Ben Gale.
