'Big Bang Theory' completes ratings hat-trick over 'Celebrity Juice'

The Big Bang Theory has topped the multichannel ratings for the last six Thursdays after putting in another strong performance last night (20 December).

The American sitcom attracted 1.39 million (a 5.6% share) to E4 as well as 372,000 on +1, while A Celebrity Juicemas Carol fell to 1.02m (5.7%) on ITV2 at 10pm and 151k an hour later.

Still a hit on CBS in the US, The Big Bang Theory has only recently taken off in the UK, and has now topped Celebrity Juice for three consecutive weeks.

The Young Apprentice finale won BBC One a series high of 3.84m (15.9%) in the 8pm hour, despite clashing with Emmerdale and Corrie.

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow topped the 9pm hour for BBC One but only with 4.3m (19.6%) for a new edition, while a celebrity instalment of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? had 3.84m (17.5%) for ITV1 (+1: 236k).

Over on BBC Two, 1.62m (7.7%) tuned in for film Last Chance Harvey, while George Clarke's Amazing Spaces was Channel 4's most-watched broadcast with 1.32m (5.5%) at 8pm (+1: 251k), and World's Strongest Man took 749k (3.1%) for Channel 5 (+1: 113k).

Overall, BBC One edged ITV1 in primetime with 21.6% versus 21.1% (+1: 0.9%). BBC Two strolled into third place with 7.5%, comfortably beating Channel 4's 4.5% (+1: 0.9%), and Channel 5's 3% (+1: 0.3%).
