Sir Alan Sugar praises Cheryl Cole

Sir Alan Sugar has praised Cheryl Cole for her success on Comic Relief Does The Apprentice.

The businessman admitted that he had not expected the Girls Aloud singer to perform well on the special charity edition of his hit show, but he was pleasantly surprised by her skills.

"Cheryl Cole was very impressive," Sugar told WENN. "Everyone was expecting this dolly bird, but she showed street smarts, determination, great commitment and a very impressive business acumen. She'll go far, that girl."
