"When I finish diving, I'd like to be a TV presenter," he told New magazine.

"Being a mentor will give me lots of experience, so I can get to the stage where, after diving, I'll be able to do presenting."

The 18-year-old said that he is "really excited" about mentoring celebrities on the show, which includes the likes of Pamela Anderson and Dom Joly.

On what kind of advice he will give the contestants, he added: "To trust what the coaches say. I like the neat diving, so they've got to have their legs together, toes pointed, with their legs straight."

Splash! - based on the Dutch show Sterren Springen - starts this Saturday (January 5) at 7.15pm on ITV, and is hosted by Vernon Kay and Gabby Logan.
