'Knight Rider' car to be sold in the US
Published Tuesday, Apr 3 2007, 11:16 BST | By Matthew Houghton
One of the four talking cars that appeared in the series Knight Rider is to be sold in the States.
The vehicle, a Pontiac Trams Am, has been completely restored to replicate that which appeared in the 80s American drama.
Known as Kitt, the car is being sold for £76,000, although it is not road-worthy in the US because it is missing a number of modifications.
It currently belongs to a Knight Rider enthusiast, Tim Russo, who bought the car 10 years ago and has been restoring it ever since.
The motor dealership entrusted to sell the legendary car is keeping it on display until it is sold.
