Alan Titchmarsh has had to deny growing cannabis after a spoof video appeared on the internet.
The gardening presenter is shown using seeds from packets labelled "Super Skunk" and "Purple Haze".
The clip was originally shown as a promotion for BBC Two comedy Don't Watch That, Watch This by splicing clips of Gardener's World with other videos.
Now it has spread across the world, however, after appearing on website YouTube.
He told Amateur Gardening magazine he regretted the situation: "Alas, it is something all people in the public eye now have to cope with and it points up to that one regrettable fact: that anyone can put anything on the internet regardless of its veracity and get away with it."
